The eggs from our happy, free-range chickens are the best you’ll ever taste–we promise! We have several varieties of laying hens, including Wyandottes, Rhode Island reds, production reds, Leghorns, Ameraucanas, and buff Arringtons; this variety accounts for the differing sizes and colors of our eggs. They all roost happily in Madroño’s Chicken Palace, and have the run of a neighboring garden with lantana bushes and peach trees, and dine happily on grass, bugs, and certified organic feed from Coyote Creek Farm in Elgin.

Right now the only place you can buy Madroño Ranch eggs is the Old Timer general store, in downtown Medina. We are also proud to supply eggs to Austin’s Lenoir restaurant.
