Signing in as number 2 of Joy's crowd. I also love the idea of learning religion as language. The rabbi in residence at our Episcopal church refers to God as "Our God," not as the Hebrew God and the Christian God, not mine and yours. There are lots of ways to distinguish and most of them are false and belittling. God got bigger as "Ours" — all of ours. My thinking got bigger too. Good luck with your meat labels too! And thanks.
